Had a crazy week? Cupcakes’ll fix it!

Hello all, it’s Rachel again! I case you haven’t seen any of my other blog posts, I’m a junior in Materials Engineering from St. Louis, Missouri, and last week was the CRAZIEST week of my college career. This is not an exaggeration. It was worse than any finals week or dead week I have had.

The worst part was the four exams (yes, four!), but all the meetings, work, and classes really took my stress to the next level. On top of all that, the Engineering Career Fair was this past Tuesday, and as a head ambassador, there was a lot of work to do in preparation (and actually running the event).

Needless to say, I am very glad last week is over. I passed the first round of tests with flying colors and I’m feeling on top of the world this weekend.

There have been multiple rewards for surviving last week. The first one: Professor Larry Genalo presented at the second ever Honors Salon on Friday. It was great to start my relaxing weekend with milk, cookies, Materials Engineering, and Honors. Four of my very favorite things. My second reward? My mom sent me a care package with fun Halloween decorations, cupcake liners, and sprinkles! This leads in to my next reward: baking. First up were these pumpkin donut muffins with vanilla glaze:

PhiliphBeautiful, right?

YUM!  They were delicious! Last weekend was definitely a good opportunity to recuperate and prepare for this crazy career fair week. However, there’s no real down time this time of year, so now it’s time to tackle studying for another exam.

P.S. I’m still in a baking mood, so if anyone has requests, let me know 🙂
