Ambassador Showcase: Lizzy

ISU Honors has a group of talented, crazy awesome students that serve as ambassadors for the program.  You should meet them!  Today, it’s Lizzy Doebel:

The best thing about being the age you are right now (a senior): As a senior, I have room in my schedule to take fun and interesting classes. And I feel the need to take advantage of every opportunity, trying new things because it may be the last time I can.

Your favorite FHP memory: Winning the tournament at the retreat with M1!

Your favorite food served in the ISU dining centers: Mini corndogs or grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup at Convos

The best Honors event you’ve been to: Awkward Prom

Your favorite Cyclone memory: Iowa State football team beating Iowa in triple overtime my freshman year

Describe one Honors course or seminar you’ve taken: I took an Honors seminar on reality TV: we watched reality television shows and discussed them, discovering the “unrealisticness” of them.

Your favorite place to get coffee/snacks on campus: Freshens smoothies at the MU

One thing on your ISU “bucket list”: Campaniling

Your favorite napping spot on campus: Central Campus in the summer

The best thing about the Honors building: Rolling foot rests

Who is your boy?? Coach Paul Rhoads or Coach Fred Hoiberg? Coach Fred Hoiberg

The most meaningful thing you’ve been involved with/done at ISU: Community advisor in Friley Hall
