Ever wonder what Honors students do during the summer? Honors Ambassadors and students will be taking you into their 2016 summer routines via photos. Allye Bodholdt just spent two weeks crisscrossing Iowa with the ISU Athletic Department’s Tailgate Tour (and the CyHawk trophy):
This summer, I am interning as a student associate for special events with the Iowa State Athletics department. One of our big summer events that is just wrapping up is the Cyclone Tailgate Tour.
Prior to the tour, I helped to pack up the vehicles with posters, magnets, athletic equipment, and giveaways.
We hit the road on Monday morning and return on Wednesday evening, two weeks in a row, holding 12 different events around the state of Iowa in 6 days.
Our event crew travels around the state with Iowa State coaches and staff members, and hundreds of Cyclone fans come out to each event.
At each stop, I help set up tables with centerpieces and giveaway items, as well as greeting attendees when they arrive.
We also set up a “Dress Like a Cyclone” station, where kids can try on different athletic equipment.
This is the awesome crew that I work with!
And finally, of course we take the CyHawk trophy with us because once again, it’s a Cyclone State!
